General Information About Our Homes

Our homes (they are not just houses- they are completely furnished homes) normally rent on a weekly basis (from Sunday to Sunday). Suggested arrival time is 2 p.m.- departure time is 10 a.m.

All of our homes are completely furnished with tableware, pots and pans, utensils, small and large appliances, including microwave, dishwasher, washer and dryer, towels, linens, and things you might need to enjoy your visit to the beach. We make every attempt to provide and have available for your use everything you will need for a relaxing, enjoyable stay, except food!

Each home has cable TV, VCR, and DVD.

We attempt to keep some beach chairs, beach toys, a gazebo at each home for your use at the beach- however, these items are sometimes mis-placed. Each home does have crab traps and bar-b-que grill- even a wagon for your use in getting all your beach items to and from the beach.

Each home has a telephone (bring your calling card if you plan on making long distance calls- long distance calls are blocked).

Wastin' Away, and Busy Doin’ Nothin’ are located side-by-side, and Scarborough Fair is one lot (50') to the south of Busy Doin’ Nothin’, all on Bernard Court East. . Are you planning a family reunion, or a get together at the beach with a lot of friends? Our homes can accommodate over 20 people without anyone sleeping on the floor!

Beautiful views of the Gulf of Mexico and Mobile Bay. At Fort Morgan, the Gulf of Mexico and Mobile Bay are separated by a narrow strip of land- about a 1/4 mile wide at our location.
Direct beach access- the street in front of our homes dead ends on the beach- Scarborough Fair is approximately 300 feet from the beautiful, wide, white sand, beaches.

Mobile Bay is to the north of our homes, less than 200 yards away.

Departure cleanup is available from a local maid service, or, you may clean up the house, wash the dishes, towels and linens you used, and save the cleaning fee.

Small, housebroken pets are allowed with the payment of a pet fee.


BEST RENTAL RATES around- our weekly rates for the peak season/summer months begin at $750.00/week for Wastin' Away during the peak season, which includes the lodging taxes (which others add on to their rental rates); weekly rates for off-season are discounted significantly; and, we have special snowbird monthly rates available for November, December, January, and February. Click on Contact Us to inquire as to availability. We urge you to compare our rates with others- remember- compare "apples to apples" when you stay in our home... you do not need cookware or utensils; we provide all linens and towels; we have beach toys, crab baskets, beach chairs; you may elect to clean before you depart and save the cleaning fee; no lodgings tax added to the quoted rental rate (its included in our rates). Also, we will promptly refund your damage deposit within two (2) weeks of your departure- not 30-90 days like most commercial renting agents.

Nightly rental is sometimes available- however, a three (3) night minimum is required- check with us for availability.

A deposit is required and must be received to secure your reservation. Sorry, but no reservations are confirmed until your deposit is received. The total rental amount is due, and must be received two (2) weeks prior to your arrival date. Upon receipt of your rental amount, we will provide directions and keys. At that time your deposit will become your damage/cleaning deposit. After your departure, if there are no damages and the premises are clean, we will return your original deposit amount.

Ninety (90) day cancellation notice is required for a full refund of your deposit.

All rental prices include Alabama lodgings tax.
